I am honored and excited to be composing a commissioned piece for the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, MO. The world premiere of “This Present Past” will be October 11, 2012 and will feature a poem by Howard Nemerov as well an all-star ensemble featuring some of my favorite musicians: soprano Christine Brewer, saxophonist Branford Marsalis, bassist Christian McBride, drummer Ulysses Owens Jr., violinist David Halen and members of the St. Louis Symphony.
