PM Music LIVE Kicks Off!

I had an amazing time last night with Dianne Reeves at the Sheldon. The audience was incredible – Dianne asked me backstage “Where did you find such a hip crowd?”

I’m already looking forward to the next show on April 2. We’re going to post some video and audio from last night’s performance soon right here, so check back for that. And I’d LOVE to hear your feedback on the show in the comments below. Likes, dislikes, requests, ….anything! And if you’d like, consider subscribing to my posts – you’ll receive all my site updates right in your inbox.

Found you on Podcasts. Really found it insightful. One negative item. Volume on sound is different for voice and piano. Needed to jam volume control up for your voice and pull volume down for piano. Running a Mac.
I really enjoyed the intro to your work.

The duo with Dianne Reeves was pure delight. I’d first encountered her on the “Good Night, and Good Luck” soundtrack (jazz is not my natural leaning) and bought that and two other recordings, becoming an instant fan. This was my first time seeing her live, and the setting and interplay between you two — well, you wanted a loose jazz-club atmosphere, but it felt more like I was sitting with you two in your living room. Loved the music. Loved the stories. I know nothing of Jeremy Davenport but I’m buying my April 2 tickets on faith based on the wonderful experience of your first pairs outing. Thanks so much for creating an unforgettable evening with your friend and FOR your friends, old and new. I count myself among the latter.

Amazing performance tonight at the benefit for Haiti! I had long ago decided that I never again wanted to hear the song “You Got a Friend,” but you guys turned it into something amazing. Was that pure improvisation? If you and Brian Owens would record it, you’d be millionaires within a month.

    Thank you. It was wonderful.
